Melbourne Public Notary Services for Brazil documents

Do you need documents notarised for use in Brazil and are in Melbourne? 

Our Melbourne Public Notary can notarise your documents for use in Brazil. 

Travel consent letters for Brazil (Viaje com uma carta de autorização de viagem)

If you are travelling with children below 18 years old from Melbourne to Brazil without one or both parents, you will need to ensure you submit a letter of consent signed by both parents or legal guardians and witnessed by a notary public with the visa application for the child and carry another travel consent letter from any parent not travelling with the child which is also witnessed by a notary public. This ensures you can avoid complications when entering or exiting Brazil. You can obtain a copy of the letter of consent form from the Consulate General of Brazil. It is important to note that 

Visa applications for children 

As part of the child’s visa application for Brazil you might need to provide notarised copies of birth certificates and photo identification documents. Please check with the Consulate General of Brazil in Melbourne for further information and specific requirements.

Melbourne Public Notary Services

Your travel consent letter might need to be stamped with an apostille after it has been notarised by a Melbourne Public Notary. You should seek instructions from the Consulate General of Brazil of the notarisation requirements. As we regularly notarise documents for use overseas, particularly for witnessing signatures and notarising letters of consent, we can explain the process to you in an easy manner:
1. Download and complete the travel consent letter. 
2. Print the travel consent letter and bring copies of your photo identification documents.
3. Any person signing the letter of consent or travel consent letter needs to sign in front of our Melbourne Public Notary. 
4. Our public notary will verify identity and notarise the documents. 


Apostille services for documents to be used in Brazil

Documents notarised in Australia for use in Brazil will need an apostille stamp from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) for it to be legalised in accordance with the Apostille Convention. We can help you notarise the documents and correspond with DFAT to obtain the apostille stamp.
