Melbourne Notary Public Services For Greece

Are you in Melbourne and need notarisation of documents for Greece?

Our Melbourne Public Notary regularly notarises documents for the Greek community in Melbourne including applying to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) for an apostille stamp. We save clients time and hassle with notarisation process. There are various documents issued in Australia which are notarised for Greece including:
1. Notarising Australian birth, death and marriage certificates which are issued by the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages, Victoria. You generally can only use these certificates in Greece after they have been notarised and legalised. The best way to save money and time would be for our notary public to notarise copies of the original birth certificate, marriage certificate or death certificate. You can also apply to the Registry for the original certificate.
2. Notarising Australian divorce orders to prove you are divorced in Greece. We will need to conduct our own verification of the divorce order before you come to our appointment. Once your divorce order is notarised, we can then arrange for DFAT to apply an apostille stamp.
3. We can help prove your income in Greece by notarising documents including letters of employment, payslips, copies of tax assessments from the Australian Tax Office (ATO). Please note that we will need to confirm employment details with your employer prior to your appointment. We will need the original documents from the ATO or else require verification from your accountant or tax agent prior to your appointment.
4. Verifying your Australian education qualifications that allows you to work or study in Greece. We will need to contact your educational institution and verify your academic records. You can save us time by contacting your educational institution and requesting they email us a copy of the education records and qualifications you want notarised and stamped with an apostille. We can also contact the educational institution on your behalf to verify with your school or university. Please note a number of universities allow us to verify information online through their website whilst other universities have a manual process of verification.
5. If you have a power of attorney, we can witness your signature and notarise the power of attorney for Greece. The power of attorney allows you to appoint an attorney to act on your behalf in Greece to deal with business or property matters when you cannot travel to Greece to personally handle your matter. To notarise your power of attorney, our notary public needs to witness your signature at our Melbourne CBD office before we can notarise the document. We can then arrange for an apostille from DFAT. Please ask your lawyer in Greece to prepare the power of attorney and advise you about the notarisation requirements.
