Chua Tan Associates (蔡庆伟律师事务所) was founded in 1990 and is one of Melbourne's longest-established Chinese law firms. For more than three decades we have served the Chinese community in Melbourne and across Australia.
Our lawyers act across a wide range of areas, including visa applications and immigration law, family law, residential and commercial property, commercial contracts and business matters, civil litigation, dispute resolution and notarial services. Our founder, Kin Wee Chua, was admitted in 1989 and has been a Notary Public since 2001. Tan Chua has long acted for Melbourne's Chinese community on property and commercial matters.
The firm has two Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Specialists in Immigration Law, as well as AMDRAS-accredited mediators. We regularly act for clients with family and assets in both Australia and overseas, on matters involving foreign documents, overseas assets and family succession.
We advise in Mandarin, Cantonese and English, in person at our Melbourne CBD office or by video for clients overseas.

Harry Ling
- Harry is a solicitor at Chua Tan Associates practising in Australian immigration law. A Monash University graduate, he advises individuals, families and businesses on Australia's visa system and application requirements.
- Harry works across a range of immigration matters, including skilled and employer-sponsored visas, partner and family visas, and business and investor visas. He also helps clients with visa refusals and cancellations, health requirements and waivers, character issues, PIC 4020 and reviews in the Administrative Review Tribunal. His advice is practical and clear: he takes the time to understand each client's circumstances and long-term goals before recommending a plan.
- Harry works closely with the firm's estates, family and commercial teams, so clients whose immigration plans also involve property, a business or family matters receive joined-up legal advice. He also acts for the firm's clients in Australia, China, Malaysia and other countries.
